This is a continuation of the article series on the construction of my shed.
Today we painted the shed. The trim and under the soffits has been painted brown and the walls were painted yellow. Ace Exterior paint was used. First the trim and soffits were painted brown, and the soffits were painted with the paint sprayer just like the primer was applied. Then the walls were painted yellow covering up any overspray and paint on the walls from the trim. The yellow covered the brown fine. There are still some minor touch ups to do on the trim for yellow paint splashing or mess ups while painting along the trim. It took 2/3 of a gallon of brown paint and 1.25 gallons of yellow paint in total. It took 3 gallons of primer and only just under 2 total gallons of satin paint. I thought it would take more paint, so I purchased 3 gallons of yellow, and never even opened the third. I will make one more post to wrap up the project and that will include some pictures.
Total cost = $100 (4 gallons of exterior satin paint, 3 yellow and 1 brown)
Total Time Spent = 12 hours (2 people for 6 hours)
